OUR AcHievements

ECD CENTRE

We have created awareness about ECD, 10 RPs identified, management committees elected for the existing 30 ECD centres, over 120 ECD teachers/caregivers selected for training on nationally recognized ECD programs. ECD serving delivery points mapping and children census conducted. 40 new more ECD service points identified in 5 out of the 10 zones to increase access and learning is taking place. 10 RPs trained and mentored. As a result, they are now able to support communities on ECD in the 10 zones. Over 150 managers for the existing ECD centres trained. Over 160 managers for the new ECD service delivery points have been trained.

ECD TRAINING INSTITUTE

Over 120 ECD teachers have been trained on a 2 -years program (CEC) & care-givers are trained on a 1-year program (CC), and awarded nationally recognized certificates by Makerere University college of Education and external studies. Over 250 ECD caregivers have been trained on a 9 months’ program to serve in the newly established service points. Over 12,000 children are impacted annually through the existing and newly established ECD Centres/study areas. Over 1,000 parents reached annually.

Our PROGRAMS

Our Programs increase access to quality ECD services in underprivileged communities (rural areas, slums in the urban areas, war affected areas, internally displaced people and refugee settlements from the neighbouring countries).

Our partners

We work with several partners to successfully implement our programs.

We work with ECD stakeholders from local to national and international levels. In the respective contexts of work, we work closely with the local government, town council, Local councils and other ECD Implementing Partners (IPs) to avoid duplication of work and reach out to the right beneficiaries.
